Extra Curricular Activities

We strongly recommend that pupils become involved in wider school life as much as possible. A wide range of extra curricular activities take place at lunchtime or immediately after school including:

· Performing Arts

· Dance

· Study Support

· Art

· Graphics

· Resistant Materials

· Computer Clubs

· Sporting Activities

· Book Club

· Media Club

· Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

· Young Engineers Club

Other activities take place at weekends or in school holidays. Concerts involving dance, drama and music are held regularly, and the school is fortunate to have a large orchestra. Over the past few years we have held very successful Summer Schools in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Art, Design & Technology and PE for Year 6 pupils.

Various subjects arrange educational visits during their courses and every year trips of a social nature also take place to areas and events of interest both in this country and abroad. We are committed to a programme of educational exchanges, particularly with Slovenia. These are extremely important, both to improve linguistic skills and to foster cultural links.
