Welcome to Madeley High School

The school was inspected by an Inspector from the Government's Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) in December 2007. The overall evaluation said 'Madeley High is a good school with several outstanding features'. A full copy of the report can be accessed here.

Our exam results in summer 2009 were outstanding, 83% of the year group achieved 5 or more passes at *A-C level, 72% including English and Maths. Our contextual value added score of 1020 represents fantastic progress alongside our headline figures, all of which puts us right at the forefront of achievement in Staffordshire and nationally.

However, we know that schools are about much more than academic achievement. We strive hard to ensure we provide the extended opportunities, support, care and guidance necessary to make Madeley a positive all round experience for youngsters. We pride ourselves on our inclusive nature, knowing our youngsters well and on fostering strong relationships with parents and carers.

All of this adds up to a potent combination of academic progress, strong pastoral care and positive home / school relations which stands our youngsters in good stead, even when they move on from Madeley. Over the last two years each and every leaver has progressed onto further education, work based learning or into full time employment. We are as proud of this achievement as any other.
