Arts Specialism

Our Arts second specialism builds on our existing strengths in English and the Performing Arts. Through this specialism all pupils benefit from an enhanced range of styles of teaching and learning facilitated by media technologies and the visual arts. Pupils are empowered to organise and access information and think creatively in all areas of the curriculum using techniques learned in the visual arts to promote their abilities as engaged, lifelong learners.

Pupils develop both creative and critical skills so they are not merely passive consumers of modern media, but are able to discriminate and create for themselves, using the digital and electronic resources which will be so important for life in the digital age.
